Why is certification testing so important?

The improvement of chromatography instruments and columns has reduced the detection limit, thereby improving the cleanliness of sample bottles for automatic samplers, which most sample bottle manufacturers cannot meet. To this end, Waters has developed process treatment methods and quality control procedures to ensure that Waters certified sample bottles meet their specific size, cleanliness, and adsorption performance requirements. The strict two-step, three-step, and 4-step certification processes ensure the cleanliness of sample bottles and meet the requirements of high-sensitivity chromatography systems.

Compliant with the highest cleanliness requirements: LC/GC certified sample bottle

LC/GC certified sample bottles are tested for residual chemicals during the production and packaging process using LC-UV. Use headspace gas chromatography (GC) to detect the membrane and ensure that the low molecular weight polymer remains at a low level. These sample bottles are suitable for analytes with a concentration level of µ g/mL; The commonly used detectors are UV and RI.

For demanding MS analysis: LC/MS certified sample bottles are recommended

The LC/MS certified sample bottle has passed the MS scanning test within the range of 250 to 1000 m/z and meets the relevant regulations for total ion count and the presence of large-scale ion beams. This type of sample bottle is suitable for analytes with a concentration of 100's ng/mL.

For analysis at ng/mL or lower concentrations: TruView LCMS certified sample bottles are recommended

TruView ™ The LCMS certification sample bottle is produced using the * process, which can reduce the adsorption of analytes. The testing requirements for such sample bottles include size, LC/UV grade, and MS grade cleanliness. In addition, the analyte detection using UPLC/MS/MS (MRM) at a concentration of 1 ng/mL has a high recovery rate and minimal adsorption phenomenon. This type of sample bottle is currently the lowest adsorption level automatic sampler sample bottle on the market.

Waters also offers a variety of glass and plastic sample bottles, suitable for most manufacturers' instruments. The two most common uses are as HPLC sample bottles and GC sample bottles. After adding a non porous bottle cap with a gasket, this type of chromatographic sample bottle can be used for sample storage.
